Mr India - A Documentary
In September 2019, Pratik Patel was approached by Zine Film Collective (formerly known as Stonehedge Films) upon learning of his qualification for the Mr. India 2019 competition. Scheduled to compete in the grand finale in New Delhi, India, in November 2019, Pratik embraced the opportunity for several reasons: to share his message of well-being, to push his boundaries by stepping out of his comfort zone, to showcase his love for acting, and ultimately, to inspire others by exemplifying the power of commitment in achieving positive goals.
Grateful for the documentary's portrayal of significant milestones, Pratik reflects on his journey from being an international student to achieving success as an IT Engineer in New Zealand, and finally, pursuing his dream of acting. The film beautifully captures his inaugural visit to New Delhi, India's capital, and the heartfelt reunions with his family there.
Taking their short documentary on a global expedition, Zine Film Collective submitted it to film festivals around the world. Their dedication paid off as the film not only gained acceptance but also clinched awards at esteemed festivals. Among these are the: Jersey Shore Film Festival in New Jersey (USA} , Tagore International Film Festival in West Bengal ( India ), New Indie Film Festival of London(UK), Redwood Film Festival in Redwood city,(USA), Dumbo Film Festival in New York ( USA), MLC Awards in Wisconsin (USA), Little Wing Film Festival in London (UK), Aasha International Film Festival in Maharashtra ( India ), Zero Degree Film Festival in Punjab ( India ), Anatolia International Film Festival in Istanbul ( Turkey) and Platonic Film Festival in Punjab ( India).
