Let’s unite once again, this time to aid Pakistan to its full restoration. I often say we’re one human race and we’re united in many ways than we know of. This planet is our only home and I truly believe when one part of our home is affected, it affects the rest too, directly or indirectly. Through centuries of our existence, our race has flourished by sticking together in the most challenging times, hence I believe even this time, with our unity and combined efforts not only we can cushion the blow to support the people affected in Pakistan but also assist them to go back on their feet so that they continue to thrive and contribute to our planet with their beautiful offerings such as the rich textile and the best salt in the world as known as pink Himalayan salt.
Here are some quick stats of the disastrous flooding in Pakistan:
Approximately 600,000 Pakistanis are currently displaced in camps after fleeing their homes.
Over 1.1 million houses have been damaged or destroyed (around 950,000 houses impacted as of 27 August 2022).
Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) analysis of acute food insecurity projects over 955,000 people being food insecure in the flood-affected areas of Baluchistan (largest province in land area) between July and November 2022.
On August 30, 2022, Pakistan Govt announced Loss of over 1000 precious human lives plus countless loss of animal lives.
How can we support Pakistan?
I believe in a combination of well wishes plus practical efforts so please keep the affected humans and animals in your well wishes and prayers (visualize things getting better for them), and if you can, donate to one of the following organizations who are playing an important role towards aiding the people and animals directly affected by this natural calamity.
